Tourists leaving South Africa often find themselves facing a lot of red tape when it comes to claiming VAT refunds on purchases, particularly those involving polished diamonds and diamond jewellery. However, recent developments have shed light on both the hurdles and improvements in this process.

The annual PlatAfrica Awards took place towards the end of 2023 and Mamosa Lesenyeho  from Pneuma Academy of Excellence placed 4th in the Student / Apprentice category for her “Tisetsang” angel thorns neck piece. We asked her a few questions to gain insight on the inspiration of her piece, and noted a few of them below:

In 2023, three of our staff members, Georgia Walters (CPT branch),  Bianca Pitt (JHB branch ) and Vusumzi Mntambo (Durban branch), achieved the National Certificate: Generic Management Qualification Information Level 5 from Edge Training. This advanced qualification empowers them to initiate, implement, and evaluate operational strategies, fostering departmental effectiveness.
