CPM have embarked on a drive to honour, thank and support our frontline workers via the highly-respected Gift of the Givers foundation. By donating non-perishable food items and brand-new items of clothing, these heroes can feel appreciated and comforted. We challenge the industry to join us in supporting this initiative to raise funds and procure food and refreshments for medical staff at hospitals as they toil through the long and lonely hours.
Drop off your of donations at any CPM branch, or directly to Gift of the Givers at the physical addresses listed on their contact page. There are 6 easy ways you can assist financially, and these donations are Section 18A tax deductible. Gift of the Givers also offers programmes for those wishing to donate time and physical effort to the many causes they’re involved with. In January, the NGO opened an upgraded 120-bed accommodation section at Bisho Hospital in the Eastern Cape for medical staff who were living in guest houses. The R3 million renovation was completed within just one month, meaning their teams were hard at work during the festive holidays. Also donated were High Flow Nasal Oxygen machines, CPAP machines, scrubs, non-contact thermometers, pulse oximeters and general PPE’s.
