CPM REFINERY STAFF RECEIVE JCSA CERTIFICATION

JCSA Certification for CPM

In April 2018, The Executive Committee of the JMASA launched the ‘Professional Technical Skills Certificate’, the aim of which is to recognise the skills acquired by employees in the workplace. Cape Precious Metals welcomed this initiative and is proud to have assisted in the creation of the Refining Technician certification.

In-house training and development, especially to ensure the safety of our employees, has always been a top priority for CPM. Identifying areas of improvement ensures that our processes run smoothly and that we continue to grow as a company for the benefit of our staff and clients.

We have begun to assess all our employees involved in refining processes, including the categories of Alloying, Assaying, Lab Technician, Silver Processing, Smelting and Sweeps.

Our Germiston colleagues involved in the Gauteng branch’s smelting and alloying stations were first to receive their certifications. CPM held an awards ceremony in August 2018 to thank these dedicated professionals for their competence, and fully recognise the invaluable service they provide to CPM and the Industry.

Chief Executive Officer of the JCSA, Lorna Lloyd, joined CPM staff and family to personally congratulate Abiba Mohapi, Cobus Robinson, Ivan Weilbach, Odwa Fono, Tshepo Itlhabaneng and Walter Ngwenya.

CPM will continue to certify our staff across the country and we look forward to honouring the next batch of CPM stars.
