This Mandela Day, our teams across South Africa came together to honour Nelson Mandela’s legacy through acts of kindness and community support.
Cape Town:
Our Cape Town team spent several weeks knitting and sewing blanket squares, which were carefully assembled into beautiful blankets. These were donated to Huis Martina Old Age Home, located in Parow Cape Town, where they were warmly received and greatly appreciated by the residents and staff.
Port Elizabeth:
Our Port Elizabeth team donated essential sanitary items to Maranatha Child and Youth Care Centre, located in Southdene Gqeberha, to provide young residents with much-needed everyday necessities. The donation formed part of the team’s commitment to supporting the wellbeing and dignity of vulnerable children and making a meaningful difference within their local community.
Germiston:
Our Germiston team visited Thembisa Old Age Home, located in Thembisa Ekurhuleni, where they delivered grocery hampers and lovingly handmade scarves to residents celebrating birthdays in July and August. Pens and notepads were also donated to the dedicated administrative team in appreciation of their hard work.
Durban:
Our Durban team, led by Malcolm, Thembo and Jenny, visited KZN CHOC, located in Cato Manor Durban, delivering grocery donations and warm fleece blankets to support children and families in need.
