A Sparkling Affair at Jordan Wine Estate: Cape Precious Metals’ Annual Networking Event

Following the resounding success of last year’s networking event in the Cape Winelands, Cape Precious Metals (CPM) was thrilled to host yet another memorable gathering. This time, the picturesque Jordan Wine Estate in Stellenbosch served as the perfect backdrop in the month of May. The natural beauty and rich artisanal culture of the region continue to inspire and nurture the creative spirit of the area’s talented jewellers and jewellery students from the University of Stellenbosch, with whom CPM proudly collaborates.

Our dedicated CPM sales representative, Charmaine, who frequently visits this vibrant community, played a pivotal role in organising this event. As a gesture of gratitude to our valued clients, we aimed to create an informative yet relaxed environment for everyone to connect and share insights.

A Collaborative Effort
This year, we partnered with Cape Tools & Jewellery Supplies, Jewellers Network magazine, Teomim Lab Grown Diamonds, and United Spectrometer to offer an engaging lineup of demonstrations and presentations.

Hands-On Demonstrations
The Cape Tools team set up stations to educate attendees on various techniques, including engraving, plating solutions, diamond testing, and sand clay casting. Our Internal Sales Manager, Francois, even tried his hand at engraving, gaining valuable new knowledge in the process.

Valuable Insights from Industry Leaders
Jewellers Network, represented by Managing Director Sancia Mincher, offered magazine subscriptions that were eagerly received by the attendees. Teomim showcased their stunning lab-grown diamonds, highlighting the growth and potential of this innovative industry. We are proud to offer a wide range of Teomim’s lab-grown diamonds in various shapes and sizes.

Cutting-Edge Technology
Mirko from United Spectrometer demonstrated the Niton scanner, emphasising its importance in the jewellery industry. The practical insights and hands-on experience provided by these demonstrations were highly appreciated by all who attended.

A Day to Remember
Adding to the excitement of the day, CPM’s sister company, Moon Investments, generously donated an in-house-manufactured Fine Silver medallion for a lucky draw. Congratulations to Zania Vermaak, a second-year Stellenbosch Jewellery student, who won this ethically sourced and 100% recycled bullion investment product.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our clients who joined us at Jordan Wine Estate. Special thanks to Annemie Nelson for graciously opening her gorgeous home to us and for the delightful wine tasting station that kept our guests refreshed and in high spirits.

Looking Forward
The event was a resounding success, marked by vibrant interactions and a shared passion for the jewellery craft. Given the overwhelming response, we will certainly need to move to a larger venue next year. We look forward to our next event and encourage you to stay updated on future happenings.
